What is that? Oh CC...

Hey guys...
I feel that many of us do not know what and how to give CC,
I feel that a lot of us think that CC is just saying "Choppy" or "Needs more easing..."
and yes! It is CC... but its not good CC. In my opinion, you might as well just give your opinion on
what kind of features you liked on the stick figure... I would really like people to
focus on actually showing people where their mistakes were because if you just see a...
"Needs more work." or "Its a little stiff" then your not going to get the benefit of knowing what
you did wrong. In a way Hazza taught me this by giving me CC. And when I mean CC... I mean Good CC.
He should me the key points in which I needed to focus on and how I could improve upon them.
And I'm sorry, but if your not willing to give good CC then your not helping Pivetworld grow as
a community and encourage people to join this forum. So please think about what "Constructive Criticism"
means... Because the constructive in CC means it needs to help and I haven't seen helpful comments lately.

well said, I feel the same way sometimes (directed to choice) we go to the same school and after I make an animation he says its stiff, needs more easing and I encourage him to make nice remarks about the animation, instead of just saying stiff, choppy, basics. No Offence Choice

lol i agree, i usually try to give good cc but sometimes im too busy or too lazy, but sometimes "it needs more easing" is legimite cc because sometimes the whole thing is uneased or theres nothing else wrong with it

yea i feel the same way unless i really want to help a person improve

Well yeah but how are they going to know what they did wrong. Saying it needs to be eased more is really general but by saying where it needs to be eased helps a lot cause thats wat hazza did with me and I improved a lot... I think haha

Well what choice did one day was he told me school the really basic stuff and then when he got he wrote a paragraph maybe 2 of CC

oh yea isnt that when u were first getting started i told u the basics like stiffness easing choppyness etc and what they meant

noob, what i was saying was igf the whole thing and every limb is uneased throughtout the whole thing which is very common for begginers, that saying ease more is legitimate cc, easing is pretty much the first thing taught in pivot so in that case it is legitimite, ive noticed that theres alot of stuff that is never taught in pivot like anticipation, force, fluidity, etc. and they really should be taught because not teaching them causes everything to be oversmoothed and too weak

Pajama, okay haha I see what you are saying. I completely agree with those situations but even if you could I would try to focus on the weakest point and be more detailed in it, but with tests I think there should be more CC cause those are short and focus on getting better.
