they are great um... uh... images, but they are really simple and revolve around the same idea. I think you should add a render or two, maybe add a gradient overlay :)

yeh, its just a glow and some text, with a line pattern over it.

i know what gimp is, i know some excellent people who are fantastic with gimp, they make stuff that you would never think it was done in gimp. im an adobe user, so i havnt actually used gimp, cuz its to simple for me lol :P

but i do have some advice, make a colourful background, dont go over in detail, make it nice and simple, a few bit here and there, then do a picture ( if you wish lol ) then text last, wherever it fits really.

oh and dont do a pattern overlay over everything, personally i think pattern overlays make the whole piece look worse.

also experiment with everything, make some pics that are like 800x800 or something and just mess arround with everything to know what it does xD doesnt have to look awesome, but it gives you a great knowledge of what goes on.

it how i taught myself how to use photoshop ( well i started grafix art and multimedia at school, but i still taught myself before that xD )

but still, everything needs practice, you dont just become the best in one shot. keep practicing man XD
one day you can become great at gimp XD

nice but the lazer is too small and straight

yeah in gimp its really hard to do that so i just made a bunch of small neon lines and put in plain wight lines

the top one is good xD
i like the background on it :P

man, you should get photoshop lol :P

i've never used GIMP before, but cant you just use a brush? and make the size big and have like, an outer glow around the brush?

yeah but the brush is like this big:

cant you resize the brush in GIMP?

the only solution is to save up :O


but still, once you get used to GIMP, you can make some pretty neat stuff out of it :D


keep on practicing, and experiment with every feature it has to offer :P

thats a bit bettter, but theres to many renders in it.... make it have like one or two renders, and have effects and stuff, and like parts of renders to make effects :D
