Pivot Running Tutorial!
XPivotN00bX's Running Tutorial
Hello Pivetworld members!
I'm going to show you my technique in running. If you dislike my technique please keep it to yourself :)
I'll gladly take a "thank you" if my tutorial helps! XD
1. This is my stick figure running. I used flow as the arms and legs were getting ready to switch directions. I used easing as well. I moved all joints except some of the stomach joints, this is done because I feel that your stomach does not move when you run due to their not being much of a height to absorb impact. Many people prefer to have a center point and not move it, I don't find this realistic because when you run you are going to go up and down and your center point won't be in the same spot. This was made in 16 FPS.
In order these are the frames of the run.piv
1.
I start off with a stick figure. One of his legs is bent and is moving forward, the other is somewhat straight and and is moving back ward (make sure the tip of the foot is on the ground though). I do the same with the arms, but this time one arm is bent and moving back wards, and the other is straight and moving forwards.
2.
The next frame the stick figure moves slightly forward/upward. The arms continue there motion, but the straight arms and legs bend slowly and the bent arms and legs become straight.
3.
Continuing...
4.
Continuing by one pixel...
5.
Back arm straightens out and moves forward slowly, Front arm moves back slowly.
Back legs bend a little and move forward slowly, Front leg straightens and moves back slowly.
6.
Continuing, but arm starts to straighten and stick figure moves back/down slightly
7.
Continuing but front leg touches the ground so it bends a little on impact.
YOUR DONE!! its as easy as that...
