easing tutorial
Well i've been looking around in this forum and i have seen that quite alot of our animators dont know how to ease.. properly :P
well to solve your problem read this tutorial :P
definition : easing is like a train. it starts off slow, gradually gains speed, slows down till stopping.
heres an example of an animation that has NO easing.
heres the piv : no easing piv
the frames i done ( if you didnt download the piv ) was
| = frames
- = spacing
|----|----|----|----|----|
that makes the animation look choppy and horrible, an animation like that will stay at low beginner and not move..
heres an animation WITH easing
heres the piv: easing
if you havnt downloaded the piv ( which i believe all of you have :P )
what i done was start slow, get faster and slow down.
heres the frames i done
|-|--|---|-----|----|---|--|-|-|
see how i started slow and got faster.
you need to do that with every single animation that you make. with every single joint you use, with every thing in the frame.
xD well i hope this has helped
so can someone move it to the tut section? i was told to post it in trash and then it would be moved xD
